"What else do you want to know?!?" --Kevin Borseth, February 28, 2008

This is my ongoing attempt to put my life and the events of it on the Internet. I started this thing back in 1998 when my grandfather bought us kids a computer (a 233 MHz Pentium with 32MB of memory, 4GB hard drive and a 24x CD-Rom drive) and the parents hooked it up to the Internet. (56K baby!) It has been up, down, redesigned, praised, villiafied and everything in between since. This is my personal space to showcase my work, my thoughts and everything else in my world. Viewer and listener discretion is always advised.

Mini Autobiography
I am a visual thinker based in Green Bay, Wis. I was born on a relatively warm March day where it was 37 degrees. Born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, I got a very unique perspective on the world stuck between two big cities, Milwaukee and Chicago.

In 2002, I left Kenosha to go the furthest away from home, but be close enough for a trip home. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 2008 with degrees in Political Science and Public Administration with an overall focus on the public policy process. I did a giant study in cable franchise reform and a project on voter turnout. I also worked for and volunteered for many Republican campaigns during my tenure at UWGB. (Maybe that is why it took 6 years to finish?)

When I first went to college I had grand visions of becoming a political reporter for some major newspaper. I joined the UWGB student newspaper, the Fourth Estate, and won awards for special section and page design. I also covered major sporting events, including the month of March that took me to Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Santa Barbara, California over the course of two weeks. My favorite part of the experience was asking questions to people that didn't want to give answers. I worked at the Green Bay Press-Gazette as a business reporter intern and got to see what a real newsroom was all about. And, no, it is nothing like the Washington Post newsroom in All the President's Men.

After seeing newspaper crumble in the last few years I am glad that I didn't pursue a career in print journalism. Instead, as blogging took off, that opened the door to citizen journalism and the formation of the Fighting Phoenix Blog. There, it was a typical conservative blog with news of the, critical analysis, and general trouble making. It was a fun year with that with my entries and those of my partner in crime who now works for a U.S. Congressman.

Since then, 2007 to be precise, I raised as much hell as possible within the UWGB student government. With a small group of others, we brough professional politics to UWGB. From press releases, campaign flyers, strategy plans and sleepless nights, we ousted the status quo in the elections that year. It was a fun two months.

My time in Green Bay has been pretty extraordinary if you ask me. It's been a great journey that has just begun. The so-called "Real World" is pretty boring if you ask me.
